Brendan Muller is a sound recordist, boom operator and sound editor from Melbourne. He works regularly with film makers and other creative types recording dialog, spaces and sound effects, as well as editing and mixing finished soundtracks.
As a live sound Engineer he was a resident at iconic Brunswick venue The Spotted Mallard, and mixed front-of-house at several festivals in Victoria and interstate for some remarkable bands.
As a studio engineer Brendan has produced songs, albums, voice-over production, sound design, dialog and ADR for films and cartoons. He has played in bands including acoustic duos, indie pop, rock, punk and metal. As a producer he brings adaptability to different genres, instrumentation and professional equipment to any recording project.

A brief work history:
In 2001 Brendan completed Cert IV Music Industry - Technical Production at RMIT. He then worked for a Melbourne Hi fi speaker manufacturer 'The Loudspeaker Kit' until 2004. In 2005 he returned to RMIT to complete the Diploma of Music Industry - Technical Production. From 2005 to 2012 he worked at Billy Hyde Music Blackburn (later Allans Music + Billy Hyde) in Audio Tech Sales, along with regular gigs and studio sessions. In 2011 Brendan co-founded The Treehouse Melbourne recording studio in Thornbury, working with independent artists and corporate clients. In 2013 he closed the studio and worked as freelance live sound engineer mostly at The Spotted Mallard, occasionally a touring engineer, and recording with clients at established studios in Melbourne.
In 2015 he returned to study, this time at SAE Institute for the Bachelor of Audio with a focus on sound for Film and TV, including location recording and post-production. Brendan has continued to collaborate with a network of skilled filmmakers and fellow sound recordists since 2016. Please see the Previous Work page for a list of recent clients and projects.
